Genogen Development Initiative is a community-driven non-profit organization based in Parombo, Nebbi, Uganda, committed to creating sustainable change in health, education, economic empowerment, and environmental conservation. We believe that true development begins within the community, and our mission is to empower individuals and families to build brighter, healthier, and more resilient futures.

At Genogen Development Initiative, we work hand-in-hand with local communities to understand their unique needs and challenges. Our programs are designed to provide practical, long-term solutions that empower people to overcome barriers and achieve their potential. Operation

Area of Operation

Currently we implement activities in the greater Parombo area of Parombo sub-county, Achana
sub-county, Parombo Town Council and Akworo sub-county in Nebbi district, in the West Nile
sub-region of Uganda.

Target Group of GEDI’s Work

GEDI’s work targets mostly children, marginalized girls and women but also focuses on youth
and other vulnerable persons in the community.
